MASQ forms Strategic Partnership with Steer Protocol

In the evolving landscape of web3 project management, finding innovative solutions to tackle challenges is critical to driving ecosystem growth - we are excited to foster a strategic partnership with Steer Protocol to leverage their web3 platform with a key focus on active liquidity management for the MASQ ecosystem.

Steer is renowned for its off-chain compute and on-chain execution protocol powering customized and permissionless active liquidity management. By using Steer to manage liquidity positions on Quickswap Polygon, MASQ can significantly improve the user experience for decentralized exchange users and allow the greater community to manage liquidity positions efficiently and resiliently against a dynamic market.

How will MASQ utilize Steer?

MASQ utilizes several core benefits for active liquidity management through Steer, including real-time rebalancing of Quickswap liquidity pools (LPs), automated market-making strategies, and dynamic fee structures. By utilizing Steer smart pools on Quickswap, the MASQ team and community gain efficient and profitable use of capital, while traders can benefit from improved liquidity and reduced slippage. Steer's advanced analytics and risk management tools also help protect liquidity providers from potential losses.

Another valuable synergy is the close integration of Steer with Quickswap - our premier decentralized exchange partner on Polygon - which offers users easy access to liquidity pools, farming, and additional rewards.

The Quickswap platform notably offers a vast feature set that rivals centralized exchanges (without compromising security or custody), with unique reward programs not available anywhere else on Polygon. Trading features include limit orders, cross-chain swaps, farms, bonds, and even single-sided liquidity options.

MASQ is continuing discussions with Quickswap to launch further initiatives that benefit users in new ways not experienced in previous years.

What's coming next?

It is essential to read this section if you are a user who participates in liquidity pools on Balancer and Quickswap.

MASQ has performed a progressive migration of Protocol Owned Liquidity (POL) from Balancer and other v3 pools to leverage the benefits of Steer for users.

Users currently providing liquidity in the Balancer 70-15-15 MASQ-WMATIC-USDC pool can migrate to Quickswap v3 and Steer smart pools - this can be done directly through the unique Steer vaults (searching MASQ-WMATIC) on their platform dashboard. Users can also access Steer pools natively on the Quickswap pool page.

Users who are migrating can benefit from the concentrated swap volumes that will naturally move to Quickswap, as swap volume is routed through the Steer pools.

**To protect community Liquidity Providers from unnecessary arbitrage while migrating, the MASQ team will leave significant Balancer liquidity in the pool for at least 10 days from date of this article publication, before transferring it into the Steer smart pools.
